Redirect chain check

Enter a URL; follow every hop, catch loops, 302s that should be 301s, missing http→https and www inconsistencies.

How to read it

  • 301 / 308: permanent; search engines move signals to the new address. 302 / 307: temporary; use 301 for permanent moves.
  • 3+ hops: every hop adds latency and eats crawl budget; redirect straight to the final address.
  • http → https: the http:// request should go to https:// in one hop. www: one of www / non-www should redirect to the other; two 200s mean duplicate content.
  • Loop: the chain returns to itself; browsers show ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS.
